Last week a posted a tutorial about how to get better text or spline work into 3D to allow you to better work with the shapes, but.....What can you do if the files you are bringing in are semi complete geometry (from any other 3D application)?
For example, you are working on a product presentation piece showing a new product in detail. We have all worked on these projects in the past, and I'm sure we have all come across this import issue when working with other suppliers or engineers. Well, Xoio in Berlin have delivered a nice little video tutorial showing some of the steps you can approach in order to "clean up" imported geometry.
