30K Today!!

A little vain, I know, but I thought I would just say thanks for everyone how has taken to the time to look through my ramblings over the past year or so.

We have just passed through the 30K pageviews! WOW! Its no BBC News or Techcrunch, but its great to know that at least some people are getting something out of my OCD. Good luck to all and see you again for 50K! (in 3 years LOL).

IncrediBox by So Far So Good

I don't usually talk about websites, or Flash projects in general.

But thought I would mention this. IncrediBox designed and developed by French Design Studio So Far So Good, is a brilliant little Audio build tool.

The sequences sound great and the app works well timing the sequences up! I have seen a few of these recently, but I do like this one, it gives you the option to record your little track as well as offering little game(ified) sections to the composition to hold interest, I think above all though, I love the individual little personalities the characters have when you "brand" them up in their roles.

Check it out here.

INFOGRAPHIC - app revenue between 2010 - 2011

Well, the figures are not looking great for the "99p" app this year! It seems Distimo have reported that the glory days of generating a standalone game or utility are through with a push to the more developed and supported "freemium" or in-app purchase app model. Ad supported revenue seems to be on the up, however I fear with the European economy in the state its in now, this will not yield the kind of revenue we were used to hearing around in the past 2-3 years.

Ifttt.com - coding without coding!

I have just set up some coded links with:

"if this then that.com" - ifttt.com

I love this site, its a really simple tasker-based site, that allows users to create links between the thousands of the sites and accounts we have online.
Things like:

Facebook > Dropbox

Where you can quickly set up a script to download any tagged photo of you and put it into your dropbox.

Weather > Email

Where the site will check for a particular state of weather on your favorite weather site, then email you when this is active, ie. If it starts raining!
