God of War - Imaginary Forces

Live action game trailer for "God of War" - beautiful, a real Gladiator feel to it, in story and look.

Live Action Cinematic Game trailers

There has been a huge collection of Live Action trailers in recent years, probably due to the increased market traction of video games within mainstream consumer spending.

These trailers have ranged from short 1 minute blasts filmed entirely on green screen and crudely shaped using VFX into a plausible storyline to the 20 min epic films released, simply to generate buzz around the latest Ghost Recon.

Skyrim Cops

Classic bit of Machinima story making here!

Skyrim offers a great platform for this due to the shear size and complexity of the game. I think we are gonna start to see a lot more of this as games become more environmental and expansive. Hat tip to the Source Film maker software, playing of the back of the borderlands / Valve game engine.

Sponsored By.....

I guess those who don't know me personally would think me a fairly tolerant, happy go lucky individual, but......

.....its when I experience: situations, corporations, associations, and of course individuals, making stupid decisions based on corporate affiliation or responsibility that enters into my professional domain that I jump up - throw my dummy out of the pram and yell (pointlessly) at the monitor in amazement and disgust.

Trailer - ZombiU by Unit Image (UPDATE)

Crazy, dark, twisted, brilliant trailer for ZombieU on the new Wii U console announced at this years E3 conference. I doubt I would ever buy a console that is essentially technologically redunant prior to even its release, but on the flip side.....

I do like this trailer, created by the french outfit Unit Image

It has a view of Dead Island by Axis about it.

Here is great, making of video for this trailer. Inside joke, but the making of is made in the style of a part "bucket render" from vray, nice little hat tip to the renderer.

TRAILER - Witcher 2 by Platige Image

This is a fantastic cinematic trailer for the xbox title "Witcher 2", honestly? I have never played Witcher, and I doubt I will play Witcher 2, but Wow! what a trailer! For a fan of the genre I doubt they will be disappointed by their next purchase.

GAME - Spec Ops, The Line Journey

Quite an interesting trailer, dictating a timescale based on the distance of a road.

GAME - Anno 2070 trailer

Ubisoft's latest production title has been announced, looks like a cross between Sim City and Command and Conquer.

Anno 2070

"Choose either an industrial and efficient course by joining the Tycoons or a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly direction by siding with the Ecos."

I think the trailer could have been better, I will admit I do not buy solely on trailer value or hype, but I do think that this is lacking the polish of some larger budget Game offerings available this Christmas, could have an effect on Sales?

GAMES - Assassin's Creed Revelations - behind the scenes

GAME - Repluse trailer

This looks pretty good, it has kind of a "cheap Halo" trailer feel to it.

Skyrim - Live Action Game Trailer

I love it, how ingrained has the 3D cinematic Game's trailer become, that we have to refer to this as a "Live action" trailer and says thats unusual? All the same, it has been well done, looks great!
